LMI is seeking a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to support a defense contractor in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Systems Engineering effort for the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) contract, providing the NSIN and its mission partners scalable and comprehensive project-based solutions that explore and deploy a broad range of solutions that enable technologies to be rapidly matured and transitioned into operational environments and to solve problems faced by NSIN and the NSIN Mission Partner community designing the integration environment as part of a larger, multi-contractor team.
• Use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to create digital products that define the new environment.
• Use sound Systems Engineering fundamentals to define requirements, conduct Analyses of Alternatives, and propose new system designs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable background in Systems Engineering fundamentals, to include MBSE and Digital Engineering methodologies.
• Recognized Systems Engineering leadership in new system development and deployment.
• B.S. and/or M.S. in Math, Physics, or relatable Engineering discipline, and 10 years’ experience (6 with a M.S.)

Nice to have:

• Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies using SysML
• Scripting: Matlab and/or Python
• Prior Lead Systems Engineer role(s)
• Space domain experience

Security Clearance Requirements:

Candidate must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance, but no clearance is required to start (eligibility to obtain a clearance is required). 

Target salary range:$103,571 - $192,659. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
