LMI is seeking a skilled Principal Systems Engineer to support a defense contractor in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advise Systems Engineering efforts in support of a variety of USSF and NRO contracts, providing customers and mission partners scalable and comprehensive project-based solutions that explore and deploy a broad range of solutions that enable technologies to be rapidly matured and transitioned into operational environments and to solve complex problems faced by the space/ intelligence communities via design and integration as part of a larger, multi-contractor team.
• Use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to create digital products that define the environment.
• Use sound Systems Engineering fundamentals to define requirements, conduct Analyses of Alternatives, and propose new system designs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable background in Systems Engineering fundamentals, to include MBSE and Digital Engineering methodologies.
• Recognized Systems Engineering leadership in new system development and deployment.
• B.S. and/or M.S. in Math, Physics, or relatable Engineering discipline, and 10 years’ experience (6 with a M.S.)

Nice to have:

• Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies using SysML
• Scripting: Matlab and/or Python
• Prior Lead Systems Engineer role(s)
• Space domain experience

Security Clearance Requirements:

Candidate must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with CI poly. No clearance is required to start (eligibility to obtain a clearance is required). 

Target salary range:$125,460 - $220,380. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
