Lochner has 3 positions available with working locations in Tampa, Sarasota and Fort Myers

Responsibilities: 

• Inspects various facets of work on the construction site as directed by immediate supervisor.
• Assists higher-level inspectors.
• Observes general job safety practices and assists in the preparation of safety reports.
• Prepares material for testing and may assist in tests to determine if work is done according to contract specifications.
• Assists in developing quality control reports and procedures.
• Ability to preform basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FDOT Intermediate MOT- Must obtain within first six months. 
• 0-2 years experience working on general construction projects

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. 

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stoop, crawl, and lifting. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
