Local 881 UFCW has an immediate opening for a newly created position as Accounting Associate

Local 881 UFCW (the Local) represents approximately 34,000 members employed in retail food and drug stores along with other industries throughout Illinois and Northwest Indiana. The Local is among the largest affiliates of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, which represents 1.3 million members in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The Local operates on the accrual basis of accounting.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will be a part of a dynamic accounting team and involved in various areas of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, political action committee accounting and reporting, sales and use tax, depreciation, prepaid expenses, variance research, and special projects. Additionally, this role will provide support functions for quarterly and annual reporting and the annual audit.
