Host/Hostess, Denver

Lob is coming to LoDo! It’s a brand-new, wildly fun bocce-golf game that anyone you roll with can play. Add locally infused craft food and drinks for the ultimate night out. We are looking for dynamic and highly personable individuals to join our powerhouse team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. 

Our Denver location will be modeled after our Toronto property, which can be found at lobplay.com.

Specific Accountabilities

• Live the Lob values and contribute positively to our culture. 
• Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure seamless service. 
• Set the tone for guests by warmly welcoming them as they arrive. 
• Efficiently handle reservation inquiries and confirmations. 
• Manage and track game play and table reservations in reservation management software.
• Seat guest according to the seating chart and rotation to optimize table turnover.
• Monitor the flow of the dining room and adjust as needed. 
• Accommodate special requests and preferences whenever possible. 
• Assist guests with any inquiries regarding the menu, game play venue policies and special requests.
• Handle guest concerns and feedback professionally, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Keep track of waiting guests and update them on estimated wait times.
• Contribute to an environment that is warm, welcoming and fun for guests and fellow employees.
• Execute standard operating procedures. Continually seeking improvements.
• Must be able to handle change well and adjust to new circumstances with a helpful attitude.
• Can manage several tasks and requests at once. 
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and time management skills with strong attention to detail. 
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with a positive attitude. 
• Familiarity with reservations systems and quick to learn new software.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with an appropriate sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated and very hands-on
• Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role a plus.
• English proficiency required. Additional languages are beneficial.

This position involves standing for extended periods.
