This position is an exciting opportunity in our rapidly growing restaurant management group.

Livingston Properties is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support the operation of the accounting department. The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in reconciling invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments are made, entering accounts payable/receivable, and assisting the team in other areas as assigned.

On a Typical Day as an Accounting Clerk, You’ll

  • Enter payables and receivables into the financial system accurately and set up vendors.
  • Assist with reconciliation of bank statements, credit card transactions, and posting of daily bank activity.
  • Determine discrepancies for pre-reconciliations.
  • Prepare various reports as assigned using Excel or software reporting functions.
  • Collaborate with other departments and vendors to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Assist team members in ad hoc tasks.

Qualifications


Scheduling

  • Operating hours for Livingston Properties are 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Working hours are flexible, but should fall within the hours of operation, sticking with an AM OR PM schedule once established. 
  • This position is intended to work around 20 hours per week.

Required Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, and accuracy in handling numerical data and financial records.
  • Understanding the difference between a BS account and P&L account.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, ability to use and navigate quickly through new software systems.
  • Ability to make mathematical computations quickly and accurately, and post to accounts with speed and accuracy.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma required; Associate degree or some college experience is a plus.
  • 1 years of previous accounts payable or general accounting experience is required.
