Living Häus Beer Company is Hiring a Sales Representative Near Portland, OR

The Big Picture

The Sales Representative works day to day with accounts and their direct manager to take orders, input orders in appropriate software, ensure delivery and customer satisfaction. Objectives include expanding territories and developing strong relationships with new accounts while bolstering sales with established accounts. Candidates must uphold Living Häus Beer Company’s commitment to quality, safety and ethics.

The Everyday

  • Provide World Class Hospitality.
  • Commit to and support the Living Häus vision and become a strong brand ambassador, building a strong understanding of our identity, products and culture.
  • Develop, execute and manage a Sales Plan, while serving as eyes and ears of the marketplace to assist in making adjustments to the plan as needed.
  • Create and adhere to a consistent documented account visitation schedule, making the most efficient use of time and company resources.
  • Respectfully and directly communicate with customers in person and by phone, text or email and provide sales materials when and where it makes sense.
  • Gain distribution of new products and continue the sales of existing products.
  • Be prepared to quickly and expertly anticipate the needs of existing accounts with deliveries, tap handles, troubleshooting or menu recommendations.
  • Coordinate deliveries with drivers and production, completing deliveries as needed.
  • Lead representation at external events like festivals and liquor store tastings, and Taproom or Brewery events as necessary; this includes set-up, pouring, tear-down and transportation.
  • Organize external sales events and communicate them to the rest of the team to aid participation.
  • Manage allocations, taking preorders of upcoming products, and establish focus items based on depletions.
  • Grow the Living Haus account footprint in the assigned territory by creating strongpartnerships and relationships with key staff members in a manner that is ethical andgenuine to the brand.
  • Drive the business; strive to over-deliver against all volume and revenue goals, analyzing sales data to identify opportunities and predict trends.
  • Collaborate with the COO to develop new and unique ways to continuously promote and expand the Living Häus name, checking in weekly regarding orders and trends, seasonal considerations and all other sales related details.
  • Participate in Quarterly volume projections by account and by product, and follow up to record accurate sales numbers and real impact.
  • Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times and act as a Living Häus ambassador.

Travel Requirements

Up to 75% of the time may be required.

Job Requirements

  • Outgoing and pleasant, highly organized and self-motivated with exceptional communication skills.
  • 2 years of beer or alcoholic beverage sales experience preferred.
  • Previous beverage industry experience required.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid insurance and clean driving record.
  • Available to work nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Strong comprehension of the craft beer consumer.
  • Intimate understanding of the craft beer market.
  • Current OLCC license.
  • Ability to use spreadsheets and other communication and tracking tools and softwares.
  • General understanding of the brewing process and knowledge of basic beer styles.
  • Familiar with Oregon laws regarding On/Off Premise sales including “pay to play”, etc.
  • Lifelong learner disposition.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to read and follow written instructions.
  • Able to move/manipulate 165 lbs using proper techniques or equipment.
  • Able to thrive in a high stress environment that has a quiet to moderate noise level.
  • Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards.
