Job Description:

As the Technical Project Manager for IT Systems Support, you will be responsible for managing and executing projects related to the integration, maintenance, and enhancement of our business systems infrastructure. Leveraging your technical expertise and project management skills, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects that support our business operations. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and effective communication to drive projects to completion on time and within budget.

Responsibilities: 

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects supporting business systems, including but not limited to Salesforce, ServiceNow, Acumatica, and other SaaS products.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones to ensure timely delivery.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across various departments, including IT, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage expectations and ensure alignment between project outcomes and stakeholder requirements.

Resource Allocation and Team Management:

  • Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to support project activities, including technical specialists, developers, and vendors.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs within the team and develop strategies to address them.

Risk Management and Issue Resolution:

  • Proactively identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery, and develop mitigation and contingency plans to address them.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify deviations from the plan and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Facilitate resolution of conflicts and escalations, ensuring issues are addressed promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of our IT systems and processes.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, and recommend innovative solutions to optimize our business systems infrastructure.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the IT team and across the organization.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) preferred.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in technical project management, with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise IT systems and platforms, with expertise in Salesforce, ServiceNow, Acumatica, and other SaaS products.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices, with the ability to tailor approaches to specific project requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
