We are seeking a Mid-Level Product Designer to own design initiatives with guidance and support from design leadership for a rapidly growing product team that is building an e-commerce platform and designs for multiple auction marketplaces targeting different regions in the U.S and Europe. Your role will be responsible for elegant, intuitive, user-centric design solutions empowering sellers and bidders. You should enjoy owning projects from beginning to end and be excited to have your designs seen by millions of people. You will work on the product team in partnership with PMs and engineers, and strategize with the data, SEO and UX strategy and research teams. You will own design initiatives while collaborating with Product Designers in other groups to align on design processes, meet quality design standards, and build a healthy and growth-oriented culture. You will report to the Head of Product Design and can be based out of either New York City, Lehi, Utah, or the Omaha Metropolitan area, with some flexibility to work remotely. What your contributions will be:· identify user and business problems and solve them through UX research, brainstorming sessions, design strategy, and initiatives.· mprove the user experience by simplifying user flows and creating iterative UX, UI/Visual Design solutions that remove friction in web, Android, and iOS experiences.· develop flows, journey maps, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes as needed to explain and test ideas.· collaborate with design system team Leads to help build components and foundations for websites, tools, and apps.· partner with the data, SEO and UX research/strategy teams to strategize UX and plan/conduct brainstorming sessions, UX research, and usability testing.· partner with Product Managers, Front-End Engineers, and other team/discipline members throughout product conception, design, and implementation in an environment that values a proper MVP approach and iterative processes What you will bring to the team: · a passion for finding, learning, and sharing new tools and trends in user experience, interactive, and visual design.· collaborative Interpersonal skills· creativity and ownership· attention to detail and critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills What you will need for success:· minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in UX/UI/Visual Design practice.· demonstrated good understanding of creating user-centric product design using data, SEO, and research.· experience owning and designing small-to large-scale projects from beginning to final execution and testing.· previously designed consumer web or mobile applications (preferably in e-commerce or gaming).· A solid understanding of aesthetics, typography, grids, visual, UI, micro-interaction, and systematic design approach· expert knowledge of Figma for design, prototyping, and usability testing.· understanding of technologies used to create great digital experiences (e.g.: HTML, CSS, React, Javascript).
