Job Overview:
We are an endodontic office seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. 2 years assisting experience required. Endo experience preferred. Your primary responsibility will be to provide chairside assistance during dental procedures and perform various administrative tasks. We hold ourselves to a high standard and strive to deliver a very high level of patient care
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment room, sterilizing instruments, and passing instruments to the endodontists
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain dental materials, equipment, and instruments
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients and schedule follow-up appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information
Skills:
- Proficiency in infection control procedures and maintaining a sterile environment
- Knowledge of medical records management and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic for scheduling and record keeping
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform basic patient assessments
- Familiarity with dental coding
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
