The Live Like Jojo Foundation is a Southern California nonprofit that exists to infuse joy, instill hope, and enrich the lives of children and families facing complex healthcare challenges. We show up for families in critical ways throughout the entire healthcare journey; through support, activities, and advocacy.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Live Like Jojo Foundation is looking to hire a Program Assistant ( Independent Contractor) to support our program coordinators in the planning, preparation, and execution of our various initiatives. As a Programs Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Understand the unique needs of the medically complex pediatric medical community we serve
• Understand the purpose and process to each initiative
• Assist the team in the execution of the current initiatives (some initiatives are done throughout the year, some done only once a year- walk, princess experience, petting zoo experience, Sunshine Box and Thanksgiving Basket park day events 1x year)
• Co-create digital and paper packet of the policies and procedures of each initiative
• Assist in streamlining and improving efficiency of initiatives to improve outcomes
• Assist in integrating new volunteers to support initiatives and sustain programming
• Collect and analyze data to monitor program effectiveness
• Collaborate with team members to market programs effectively
• Communicate program needs and recommendations to Program Coordinators

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• One year experience programs assistant, program coordinator, or event planner for a non-profit or for profit organization.

HOURS:

• 20-25 hours monthly.
