Little Traverse Yacht Club (LTYC) is a private club that exists to serve our members. We have a proud tradition as a family club which emphasizes camaraderie and volunteerism as it provides opportunities for recreation both on and off the water. LTYC promotes yachting and social functions, along with daily lunch service and happy hour.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. If you have a passion for the culinary industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Present menus and provide detailed information about dishes and beverages
- Take accurate food and drink orders from guests
- Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of meals
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and efficient manner
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or issues
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
- Process payments using cash handling procedures and cash register
- Collaborate with other team members to provide exceptional customer service
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus
-Knowledge of bartending a plus
-Wine pairing knowledge a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent math skills for accurate order taking and payment processing
Skills:
- Bussing: Ability to clear tables efficiently and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
- Sanitation: Knowledge of proper sanitation practices to ensure food safety
- Familiarity with operating a point-of-sale system
- Restaurant: Understanding of restaurant operations and customer service standards
- Food service: Knowledge of food service procedures, including order taking and delivery
- Food preparation: Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and safety guidelines
- Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
