About Little Blessings Preschool: Little Blessings is a non-profit, faith-based preschool that serves over 250 families. We offer high-quality early childhood education in a fun and loving environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement activities to meet the intellectual, social, physical, and spiritual needs of the children in the class.
• Ensure that children are supervised at all times, maintaining a staff-child ratio of 1:8.
• Provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games, and storytelling.
• Assist children with varying abilities and temperaments in a positive and respectful manner, and modify classroom activities based on the individual needs of each child.
• Be aware of and comply with all personnel policies and emergency procedures.
• Work together with other staff members in curriculum planning using the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards, and the monthly themes as a starting point.
• Hours include working from 6:45am-9:00am or 2:45 pm - 5:30 pm in our Extended Care program.
• Attend in-service training and other professional growth experiences to complete the annual 15 clock hour in-service requirement.

Qualifications:

• minimum of an associate degree in child development or early childhood education, or the equivalent ,64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development or early childhood education.
• Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential or 3 semester hours of college credit or 3 points of credential approved training in administration, leadership or management.
• Experience working with young children in a preschool setting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
