Lindbergh Schools is Hiring a Flyers Club Site-Supervisor (School Age Care Before and After School) - Sappington Elementary Near St. Louis, MO

  • Full-time position, 40 hours/week
  • Schedule Monday-Friday, to follow school calendar (10 months)
  • Hours: 6-9 a.m and 3-6 p.m. with flexible administrative hours during the day
  • Additional hours for early release days and school’s out days
  • Pay Rate: $18.80/hour

Summary:Manages the daily operation of assigned school site or areas for before and after school child care programming, including communication with elementary school, lesson planning, and decision making in the classroom; works with group leaders and group aides to formulate and implement a safe and nurturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer medication and records in accordance with department and district policies
  • Keeps accurate data and attendance on each child
  • Ensure excellent customer service to parents by resolving issues
  • Maintains confidential environment at all times
  • Greets families and build partnerships with parents and families
  • Responsible for implementation of the current lesson plan, verbal or written plan
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate climate
  • Maintains a clean, safe, organized and orderly environment
  • Aware of and reports all broken equipment and unsafe situations
  • Models respect and caring in relationships with children, parents, families, and colleagues
  • Utilize positive strategies to guide children’s social behavior
  • Responsible for assimilating data from a variety of sources in planning for each child
  • Responsible for communicating to parents and families verbally and helping with newsletters
  • Track and fill staff call-ins/absences using a pool of substitutes and/or adjusting staff hours
  • Responsible for the on-site training and supervision of new staff members
  • Create and maintain sub files with all accommodation plans and important information
  • Create lesson plans, set-up room environment, order and rotate materials
  • Monitor and report staff and other concerns to School-Age Program Manager
  • Supervise all aspects of the site locations
  • Ability to push or lift up to 50 lbs
  • May require irregular hours: morning, daytime, and evening
  • Perform duties indoors and outdoors
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience working with children within a community or school program
  • Working knowledge of school-age care rules and regulations
  • Prior experience managing a staff with multiple employees preferred
  • Prior experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • 2-year degree or 60 college credits preferred
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office software applications and Google applications

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Obtain adult and child CPR/First Aid certification within three months of hiring date, Annual TB test, Hepatitis “A” vaccine, and Fingerprint/Background check
