Limelight Theatre is Hiring a Technical Director and Operations Manager Near Saint Augustine, FL

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director and Operations Manager to join our team. This position requires responsibility for overseeing and managing all technical operations within our organization. This role requires strong strategic planning, process improvement, and senior leadership skills that with both supervise the technical aspects of the theatre in a Technical Director capacity and oversee overall operations of the theatre as an Operations Manager for various events and productions.

Duties:

This is both administrative and creative and requires deft time management and organization. It requires people skills, a professional and positive attitude, and require the ability to lead a team of others while often operating in a high-paced, time sensitive production environment with deadlines and regulation for safety for all involved.

General Responsibilities:

· Oversee the broad budget for each production and meet with the Executive Director weekly to give updates.

· Assist Executive Director for what is needed for all productions.

· Engage in creative problem-solving to keep production on budget

· Hire and schedule crew members for each production

· Liason between contractors and Executive Director, including Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, Lighting Designer, Set Designer, Props Manager, Costume Designer, Assistant Director, Choreographer, Music Director, Sound Designer, Light Board Operator, Sound Board Operator, Production TD, Musicians.

· Act as a liaison between the cast, crew, and directors for season productions

· Organize and schedule production meetings and oversee stage manager responsibilities and rehearsal schedules.

· Train stage managers

· Maintain competancy and the ability to train others on all equipment and materials.

· Recruit new crew members and interns at outreach opportunities with Executive Director

· Maintain and ensure the organization of the theatre space (Back of House) by overseeing costume shop, props closet, dressing rooms, paint room, and scene shop and wing space. Coordinate with the House Manager on Front of House duties and assist as needed

· Research and maintain knowledge of modern theatrical technology and production value. Bring new ideas and updates to the Executive Director quarterly.

· Maintain the Limelight pickup truck

· Be a point of contact when needed for technical aspects of production or building maintenance. Ensure everything is operational for the needs of the production.

· Keep audio and lighting equipment working and organized in their closets.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
