Who You Are…
As Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution of design and construction work, in accordance with contractual obligations, internal policies, and the Required Project Standards (RPS) of the Company.
This Position…
Some examples of the work you might do includes:
- Establishes and implements a project management information control system to help effectively govern the lifecycle of the project.
- Manages all aspects of the customer relationship, with the objective of securing future repeat business.
- Protects the interests and legal rights of the Company during project execution via thorough documentation and timely communication with customers, design teams, contractors, vendors, etc.
- Organizes, leads, and documents all design and construction-related meetings requiring owner involvement or representation.
- Facilitates and assists with the design review and approval process.
- Provides leadership and oversight in design meetings and work sessions, from design development through finalized construction documents.
- Assists with construction manager selection and interview. Negotiates and administers all construction contracts, including GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) documents, contingencies, general conditions, change orders, and assessing areas of potential risk.
- Manages overall accounting and cost control of projects, including all budget line items, changes, invoices, construction hard and soft costs, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixture, and Equipment).
- Coordinates and solicits via RFP developments, and advises on the selection process for necessary consultants and team members.
- Reviews and processes all project-related invoices and construction pay applications to ensure compliance with executed contracts.
- Reconciles invoice approval records with the owner’s accounting department to ensure project-related costs have been accurately recorded on a quarterly basis.
- Develops, maintains, and regularly updates all relevant project schedules.
- Provides project management coordination, including monthly attendance at OAC and board meetings.
- Manages construction activities and phasing plans, including coordination of shutdown activities with the contractor and facility operations staff.
- Coordinates the planning, procurement, and installation of furnishings, etc., with selected consultants.
- Effectively manages job completion, final acceptance, and warranty periods to ensure customer satisfaction.
What You Need…
- Bachelor’s Degree [in a construction-related field] or equivalent.
- 5 years of industry-specific experience.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes and construction laws.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in effective collaboration, communication, and negotiation.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Efficacy in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Documented completion of OSHA’s 30-hour Construction Training Course.
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous people management experience.
- ASHE - Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification.
- ASHE - Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification.

Work Environment:
- This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
- Work tasks regularly necessitates travel to local job sites, which means exposure to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.
Physical Demands:
- In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- This is considered a light work position, which means possible exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
