Lilou’s Kitchen is led by South-West France Native, Chef Benjamin Tilatti. Our mission is to bring an authentic French culinary experience to Knoxville without the need for a passport to France.

Position Overview:
The Line Cook position is responsible for the mise en place and execution of service in one or multiple stations at Lilou, depending on experience. Line Cooks will also have the opportunity to receive training to become part of a French kitchen brigade, with the potential for advancement into different positions within the brigade.
Must be available for Saturday and Sunday mornings/afternoons.

A minimum of 1 years of prior culinary experience.
Proficiency in knife skills.
A desire to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition when interacting with the entire staff of Lilou and Hotel Cleo, and maintain a neat, clean, and professional image.
Independently set up and work one or multiple stations at an acceptable level.
Complete required mise en place or prep list in a timely fashion.
Set up stations as required for all scheduled services.
Be prepared to work private functions, banquets, and offsite events.
Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment.
Maintain and clean all required tools.
Work efficiently with a constant sense of urgency.
Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Tolerate potential allergens, including peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish.
Work a flexible schedule as business dictates.
Perform shift change and/or opening or closing duties.
Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Culinary school graduate or equivalent work experience required.
Possess basic knife skills.
Ability to handle stress under pressure.
Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant, generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day in a hot environment.
Arrive on time to scheduled shifts.
