Light the Way Ministry is Hiring an Executive Administrative Assistant Near Ozark, MO

Our staff and volunteers work year-round, bringing communities, churches, people, families, and businesses together for the greater cause of sharing the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Job Summary

The Executive Administrative to the CEO & Founder of Light the Way Ministry will serve as a member of the administrative staff and assist in various duties as assigned by the CEO and the Ministry’s Board of Directors. The Executive Administrative Assistant will assist with the logistics, communication, and planning needs of the CEO and accomplish the priorities of the ministry. Must also be willing to travel to all Light the Way Ministry events!

Key Role

This position serves a very important role in representing Light the Way Ministry to both the ministry and the community in which we serve. This role serves as the chief graphic designer and primary architect for all communications at Light the Way Ministry. This role works to amplify the mission of the ministry through excellent creative content. This role works with all teams and builds volunteer teams for special events. This role will also ensure that all events under the Light the Way Ministry are resourced and stories of life change are captured and shared.

Essential Functions & Job Duties

  • Assisted in the management of logistics for artists/speakers, including travel, hosting, resource sales, meals, and service preparation.
  • Assist in the coordination of meals hosted by Light the Way events. (Concerts, Festivals, CEO speaking engagements, Conferences, revivals, & special events, etc.).
  • Assist the CEO with office communication (email, phone calls, etc.)

Preparation of handouts and presentations for Staff meetings, Board meetings and CEO’s speaking engagements.

  • Serve as an editor at the direction of the CEO.
  • All general office duties (correspondence, phone calls, computer tasks, scheduling appointments, mail, email, ordering supplies, maintaining a filing system, etc.).
  • Compose letters when requested and ensure all correspondence is mailed in a timely manner.
  • Assist the CEO in the management of his calendars (including the scheduling of appointments, etc).
  • Assist the CEO in the management of physical and electronic files (including email management, contact management, in-office filing, and the filing of documents electronically).
  • Assist the CEO in the management of all travel accommodations.
  • Be the liaison between the CEO and all ministry departments.
  • Coordinate and distribute the Executive Reports.
  • Ensure receipts and expenses are submitted each month for the office and CEO.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum one (1) years of experience working in a professional, fast-paced business or ministry office environment, preferably with an emphasis on creative communications and marketing responsibilities. This also includes secretarial and general clerical experience OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques, and office equipment, as well as English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Prefer the applicant to have experience using the following programs: Trello, Google Spreadsheets, G Suite, Slack, and Wave (Will train on these).
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to perform secretarial and clerical duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers, civic organizations, business professionals, and the general public.

  • Spending time together on days off and when extra time is available.
  • Keep personal finances in order with no delinquencies.
  • Attend church regularly.
  • Maintain a Christian outlook and attitude at all times.
  • Maintain loyalty to the ministry team and our partners, actively promoting unity within the ministry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
