Busy pain management office looking for a full-time Medical Assistant in Bowie, MD.

Bi-Lingual (Spanish and English) is a plus.

Clinical responsibilities:

• Escort patient to the exam room
• Measure vital signs, including weight and blood pressure
• Obtain and review the patient medical history
• Reconcile patient medication
• Document inpatient Electronic Medical Record
• Locate lab and imaging reports and place in record prior to the appointment
• Triage and process messages from patients to physicians
• Stock exam rooms with medical supplies and forms

Clerical responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls
• Checking outpatients after the appointment
• Schedule appointments
• Assist front desk representative

Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.

Practice is open Monday through Friday. The ability to work flexible hours is a must.

Medical Assistant Certification is preferred but not required. EMR experience is a plus.
