Lifespan Physician Group is Hiring a CLINICAL/COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGIST FOR PARTIAL HOSPITAL PROGRAM Near Providence, RI
The Acceptance and Mindfulness-based Partial Hospital Program at Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a clinical or counseling psychologist to work on our team! Our program uses both individual and group therapy grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other third-wave behavioral therapies to treat adult patients, who present with a broad range of concerns, including mood disorders, OCD, PTSD and personality disorders. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to collaboration and creating a supportive environment, both for patients and for the team itself. The PHP currently provides virtual treatment for patients, allowing for opportunities to work from home, in a remote setting or within our offices. The Program provides opportunities to work in specialty tracks (BPD/Emotion Regulation, DBT-PE Trauma Track and Young Adult), opportunities to supervise trainees at various levels of training, and opportunities to be involved in research. Providers also have flexibility within the program day to create their own schedule and have flexibility in activities after program hours including providing outpatient care.Join a department that hosts over 40 psychologists across different levels of care and specialty clinics. Most of our providers hold faculty appointments for their work, teaching and supervising graduate student residents; faculty appointment eligibility available within your first year of employment. Who We Are Looking For:
PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program required
Clinical internship from an APA-accredited program required
Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island
Experience or interest in Acceptance and Mindfulness-based therapies and/or other third-wave behavioral therapies
Experience with DBT/DBT-PE, personality disorders and trauma/PTSD a plus
Desire to work in a team-based care model
Interest in working in a hospital setting
Passionate about helping people struggling with mental illness
Good sense of humor and desire to be part of a supportive environment
