As our Phlebotomist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Collecting blood using various methodologies, including venipuncture and skin puncture, from patients of all ages.
• Accurately identifying patients and managing their test samples.
• Ensuring cleanliness and infection control at puncture sites.
• Collaborating on the development of new phlebotomy protocols to enhance patient comfort and sample integrity.
• Tracking and documenting all blood samples in collaboration with lab technicians.
• Proper disposal of biomedical waste following safety guidelines.
• Participating in regular inventory checks for phlebotomy supplies.
• Assisting in training programs for new staff members.

To qualify for the Phlebotomist position, candidates must:

• Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless medically exempt.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have at least 2 years of direct phlebotomy experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture procedures, blood collection, and sanitation techniques.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
• Display excellent computer skills for record-keeping.
• Meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods.
