Job Purpose/General Summary:
The Clerical Assistant is responsible for the execution of a variety of administrative support duties within the Life Skills organization. The Clerical Assistant is responsible directly to the Director of Employment Services.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Provide administrative support to the Employment Services, Public Relations & Marketing, and Management departments.
2. Perform duties to support the Life Skills Foundation Board.
Duties of Position: Employment Services Clerical
1. Maintain organization of and update client files and records.
2. Execute miscellaneous tasks associated with the development of Employment Services reports and records.
Duties of Position: Marketing / Public Relations Clerical
1. Document, input, and record to foundation database all gifts and donations received via Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
2. Prepare, perform, or assist in annual KC Phone-a-thon.
3. Assist in preparation and execution of seasonal fundraising events.
4. Perform or assist in maintenance of Foundation Donor Perfect database.
Duties of Position: Administration and Personnel
1. Perform preparation of organizational correspondence and documents.
2. Maintain organization of and update personnel files and records.
Employment Requirements:
A. Education: High school diploma and two years verified work experience in professional office organizational/clerical duties.
B. Other certifications, licenses, or skills: Ability to read, write and understand English language sufficient to communicate with clients, staff, and public. Ability to compare, compile, analyze, coordinate, and synthesize professional data and information. Must be proficient in the operation and understanding of computer operating systems and software. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Experience in Donor Perfect software preferred.
Confidentiality & Background: Must successfully pass all state and Federal mandatory record checks. Must adhere to the confidentiality policies of LSTC and HIPPA.
