Life Science Innovations is Hiring an Office Administrator at Headstart Hatching Near Willmar, MN
Headstart Hatching is seeking a friendly, diligent and reliable individual to join our team as an Office Administrator! The Office Administrator provides administrative support for the Hatchery Manager, carrying out all directives in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. The ideal candidate will handle all Company information with complete confidentiality. Who We Are: Headstart Hatching is the first turkey hatchery in the world to hatch commercial poults with immediate access to feed and water from the moment the hatchling leaves the egg and throughout their stay from hatch to the farm. This industry-changing technology will eventually be shared with the world, but first we’re going to put it to good use for our region’s benefit. Located in Willmar, MN, we are part of a family of companies that have made this place our home for over 75 years, and Headstart Hatching is the next (and not last) company we’ve committed to build here. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Opens the office each morning
Greet people at the front window and assist/or direct to the appropriate person(s)
Answers incoming calls and assists/or transfers to the appropriate person(s).
Maintain and distribute job applications when HR representative is unavailable
Facilitates the orientation and onboarding of all new employees
Conducts and/or facilitates the provision of all mandatory employee training
Completes general administrative clerical work accurately and in a timely manner
Preparation of shipping and export documents or samples
Help with any animal welfare monitoring to be compliant with customer needs
MTech data entry of all production aspects of the hatchery
Ordering of supplies per Manager’s directive
Maintain 8:00 am to 5:00 pm working hours unless requested by on-site Manager
Follow the directives of the on-site Manager
Other duties and projects as assigned
Follow all of the company’s rules and regulations for bio-security, animal welfare and safety
Answer phones and take messages or give out contact information for appropriate departments;
Ensure the tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner
Work with general office equipment such as a computer, calculator, and copy machine.
Monitor company email regularly for directives, requests, or responses from HR and/or the on-site manager;
Work successfully as a team to work towards achieving the company’s goals
Ensure adequate office supplies are available (gives a list of needed supplies to onsite manager
Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Familiarity with computer software such as MS Office and the ability to send emails and to save and send documents for processing
Strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently
Ability to effectively respond to questions, concerns, or needs from employees at all organizational level
