Position Overview : As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
You will work closely with the HR team to maintain employee records, handle payroll inquiries, and resolve payroll-related issues.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in payroll processing and must be proficient in UKG UltiPro software.
Role : Payroll Specialist Perm Onsite-Allendale NJ
Salary : $50-60K annual salary
Responsibilities :
Utilize UKG Pro software to accurately and timely compensate employees and managers.
Prepare, import, process, and review payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Generate direct deposit files and distribute paychecks to employees.
Maintain documentation and reports related to payroll activities.
Provide exceptional customer service to support day-to-day operations.
Collaborate effectively with the Payroll team and other departments to streamline processes and resolve issues.
Qualifications :
Proficiency in payroll software and related computer applications. UKG Ulti Pro is Mandatory.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to calculate figures, amounts, and percentages.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization.
Experience managing people effectively and maintaining confidentiality.
Prior experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll processing preferred.
Knowledge of payroll tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements desirable.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and dedication.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing demands.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and manage time efficiently.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
