Payroll / AP Specialist

LHH is currently looking for an experienced Payroll / AP Specialist for a hybrid position in Woodland, Ca. Only applicants in the Sacramento area will be considered for the role.

Responsibilities :

• Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, including calculation of wages, deductions, and withholdings.
• Maintain employee records, such as new hires, terminations, and changes in salary or status.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries for review by management.
• Reconcile payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Process accounts payable transactions, including verification of invoices, coding, and obtaining necessary approvals.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors while adhering to payment terms and discount opportunities.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to payroll and accounts payable.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll and tax regulations to ensure compliance .

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience processing payroll and performing accounting duties required.
• MUST have experience using ADP software system.
• Intermediate Excel use required. Must know and be experienced with pivot tables and v-lookups.

Compensation :

$31-36 / hr.
