Controller

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Controller for a permanent opportunity with a growing company based in Richmond, VA.

The Controller will manage and oversee a small accounting team and serve as a strategic partner to the President. Responsibilities include month-end close, preparing financial statements, managing cash flow, improving internal controls, and preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the company's accounting and finance functions, including month-end close, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare monthly financial statements and investigate variances
• Review reconciliations and intercompany transactions
• Prepare financial reports for senior leadership
• Prepare annual budget and partner with leadership on long-term financial planning
• Monitor financial performance and KPI’s
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies and internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Minimum 7 years of accounting and leadership experience

Skills:

• Multi-tasker with excellent time management and ability to succeed in fast past environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to lead a team

Salary: $115-145k Bonus
