We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance for a local organization here in Columbus. The Controller will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, implementing best practices, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making at all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance team in all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to drive business growth.
• Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
