LHH is looking for a direct hire Commercial Litigation Paralega l for a firm in Chicago . This is a hybrid position.

EXPERIENCE:

-Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting , including comprehensive case preparation and understanding of the paralegal's role in litigation.

-Advisory Role: Desire to work in an advisory capacity, mentoring and training other paralegals and practice assistants.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conducting a broad range of substantive paralegal tasks, including product liability, toxic tort disputes, complex commercial litigation, and business disputes across various industries.

- Maintaining and monitoring court deadlines, taking ownership of case calendars.

- Electronically filing documents through the ECF system under attorney supervision.

- Performing online PACER research and drafting pleadings, notices, and motions.

- Trial experience is essential.

SALARY RANGE:

- Pay range: $90,000-$110,000, depending on experience.

EDUCATION and SKILLS:

- 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate preferred, with work experience substituting for education.

- Ability to conduct research using various tools, including the Internet and Westlaw.

- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
