Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a First Grade Teacher at Bear Creek Elementary School beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. Must have, or be eligible to receive a current Colorado license with appropriate endorsement along with the CDE READ Act requirements. Must have a solid foundation in literacy and a genuine understanding of the developmental needs of kindergartners. Preference for experience with Everyday Math curriculum. Looking for a teammate with strength in collaboration and communication. In order to receive consideration, you must complete our online application. Applications will be reviewed as recieved. This position will remain open until filled. The first day for teachers new to our district is August 2, 2024.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 15 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 16, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $42,250-$68,685 (this amount may increase slightly once the 2024-25 school year budget is approved) . The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. This position will remain open until filled.
