    3rd Grade Elementary Teacher
    You can make an impact on the lives of thousands of students in Monument, Colorado beggining with the 2024-2025 school year as the newest full-time teacher at PWES. You’ll join a dynamic team and become part of the award-winning Lewis-Palmer School District 38 as we prepare for another engaging school year in 2024-2025. Applicants must have, or obtain within the 2024-2025 school year, a Colorado K-6 elementary education teaching license and completion of CDE’s online science of reading course (K-3, Interventionist required, 4-6, recommended.) The start date for teachers new to the District is August 2, 2024, and the start date for students is August 14, 2024. In order to be considered for this position, you must complete our online teacher application.
    PWES Teachers will execute the following Responsibilities:
    • Committed to the PLC Model
    • Demonstrate Timely Feedback to Students, Families, and Colleagues
    • Facilitates Intentional Instructional Planning
    • Committed to the Responsive classroom philosophy
    • Engage Students in the Planning Process for High Quality, Standards-Based, Grade Level Learning Experiences
    PWES Teachers will demonstrate the following Competencies:
    • Relational: Loves Working with Students
    • Team player
    • Excellent Communicator
    • Solution-Focused
    • Adaptable to change and self aware
      Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 16 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 17, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. This position will remain open until filled.
      • This position is eligible for a $2,000 bonus- $1000 to be paid in September 2024 paycheck and $1000 paid in March 2025 paycheck.
      Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
