TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Talent Acquisition position is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for operational, technical, administrative and management positions throughout the company. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all positions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Coordinate career fairs / events with local Community Colleges and Universities to recruit Management Trainees, Interns and Management positions.
  • Travel out of state to Universities and Recruiting events to meet students and faculty
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Students and Faculty through calls, social media, blogs, etc
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc.
  • Act as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies.
  • Process job requisitions.
  • Prospect, screen, and interview applicants.
  • Coordinate appropriate pre-employment testing / surveys
  • Extend verbal and written contingent job offers.
  • Schedule orientation of new employees.
  • Follow up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as notifying the IT and HR department of employee's starting date.
  • Complete weekly report on employment activity.
  • Promote company’s motto as “Do the right thing”.
  • Perform other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Multitasking - Shifts back and forth as needed between multiple activities or sources of information. Can handle more than one assignment or responsibility during a given time period.
  • Safety –Follows and promotes the Company rules and procedures. Shows an appreciation and sets an example for safe work behavior. Does not take inappropriate risks.
