**Position Summary**

Manage the physical movement of inbound/outbound shipments, including shipments to domestic & international customers, & distribution centers & branches within the organization. Also will oversee Warehouse supervisor, Production Control, Chemicals/consummables.

**Basic Qualifications and Required Skills**

Education: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education & experience

Experience: 5 years

Must have the ability to present information & respond to questions from Management

Demonstrated Management skills, particularly influence management & conflict resolution

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel, etc..

**Desired Skills**

Bachelors degree in associated field

Advanced computer skills (i.e. database, Sharepoint)

MRP/ERP Experience

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

Manage the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments, including shipments to both domestic and international customers, and distribution centers and branches within the organization

Manage the development and implementation of economical and efficient traffic/transportation services for the organization and its customers

Schedule and coordinates the routing of incoming and outgoing shipments

Negotiate rates, delivery terms, freight rates, and classifications with carriers; analyze service performance

Develop and implement new procedures and methods to reduce costs

Examine and approve payment of bills

Resolve claims for loss or damage

Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling

May also have supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc

Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
