About Legion Health:
Legion Health is building a B2B mental health marketplace to solve one of the hardest problems in health care—the 230,000 deficit of mental health professionals in the United States.

By selling psychiatry and therapy services by the hour, Legion Health allows mental health professionals to see more patients in a simpler, more flexible, and higher impact manner than ever before. At the same time, health care organizations can scale their mental health offerings more quickly by not needing to hire these professionals full-time, dramatically increasing patient access.

Legion Health is backed by Y Combinator and the world’s best venture capital firms and angels. It’s just the beginning for Legion Health, and we need your help as we transform access to high-quality mental health care for millions of Americans.

The Role:
Legion Health is looking for a Clinical Operations Lead to join our team! The individual in this position will work hand-in-hand with our Operations team to recruit and onboard high-quality mental health professionals into our network and ensure they can successfully see our clients’ patients. Your responsibilities will specifically include building and engaging our clinician network, working with Operations to address customers’ clinical needs, optimizing our recruiting funnel using data, working with the product team to automate manual processes, working with the product team to enhance the recruiting and onboarding experience, conducting user interviews, addressing clinician support issues, and building processes to ensure clinician quality.

You will be part of a highly-skilled, collaborative team that is shaping an innovative model of care. There are thousands of clinicians who are excited to have a more stable, flexible means of seeing patients, and thousands of patients who do not have access to high-quality care. The work you do will help to create positive outcomes for our clinicians and clients’ patients, redesigning how mental health care is delivered today and dramatically increasing access to high-quality mental health services.

What You'll Do:

  • Build a high-quality network of mental health professionals
  • Create a pipeline of high-quality candidates through various inbound and outbound efforts, including via emails, phone/Zoom calls, Linkedin, really, and other sources daily
  • Track our pipeline utilizing our CRM and other tools
  • Coordinate candidates through the recruiting and onboarding pipeline using strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Screen clinician applications for quality and the appropriate data, schedule and conduct interviews, and work efficiently with Operations to deliver clinician to client
  • Initiate creative strategies to recruit active and passive candidates, help develop marketing materials, and optimize workflows, timelines, and capacity
  • Maintain thorough records of all applicant interactions, interview outcomes; prepare and share weekly reports on progress
  • Implement best-in-practice processes to ensure that our clinicians are high quality and are committed to evidence-based mental health treatment
  • Use data to identify recruitment priorities, network gaps, and opportunities for network enhancement
  • Use data analysis methods to optimize our recruiting funnel
  • Identify areas for automation and work with the Product team to reduce manual work needed in recruiting and onboarding clinicians
  • Design programs to add value to clinicians’ lives and keep the clinicians in our network engaged and excited
  • Develop close relationships with clinicians, conduct user interviews, and relay that information to Product and Operations in order to improve the clinician experience
  • Direct programs, content creation, or products that provide value to clinicians and builds Legion Health’s brand awareness in the clinician community
  • Provide a voice for our clinicians through clinician support

A very strong candidate would have:

  • Passion about changing the landscape of health care and/or mental health
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that convey confidence, authority, and friendliness in order to make clinicians quickly intrigued about this opportunity, ensure they take Legion Health seriously, and guide them through our processes
  • Eagerness to integrate innovative techniques and technology into day-to-day work, with an understanding of how to build processes and products to automate manual tasks
  • Ability to use, visualize, and analyze data
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel, and CRMs
  • Ability to manage tasks within a deadline-oriented environment
  • A high degree of ownership and excitement for working in a results-oriented environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a changing startup environment
  • 2 years of work experience
  • Residence in Austin, Texas, or a willingness to relocate within 3 months
  • University Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, medicine, or a related field is preferred but not required
