FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY

Legends is the official food & beverage partner of Florida State University’s Doak Campbell Stadium, an iconic college sports and entertainment venue in Tallahassee, FL. Campbell Stadium opened its gates on October 7, 1950 and serves as the home to the NCAA football three-time National Champion Florida State Seminoles as well as the largest continuous brick structure in the United States, providing classroom and office space for several university departments including athletics.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Manager, the Receiving/Purchasing Manager is responsible for effectively managing and directing all day-to-day aspects of purchasing and receiving as well as warehouse operations for Legends at Florida State University, Doak Campbell Stadium.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Partner with the Operations management team to assist with daily orders including the coordination of deliveries and product to be utilized in concessions.
  • Spot check vendor invoices and pricing to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain efficient centralized warehousing operation by establishing control procedures for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies.
  • Oversee and control all products that enter and leave the warehouse and ensure accuracy of transfers.
  • Monitor inventory ensuring product is being rated and spoilage is being controlled and accounted for.
  • Conduct and organize monthly inventories of the warehouse. Create inventory and order spreadsheets.
  • Oversee the distribution of product to all stores and stands.
  • Coordinate with relative parties on inventory counts and the movement of product
  • Work closely with culinary team to maximize ordering efficiency, product deliveries, and inventory allocation.
  • Code all invoices to properly for payment processing.
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with inventory distribution and control.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly.
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Must be proficient on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be flexible to work extend hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull approximately 50bs
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift, while navigating ramps, stairs and elevators.
  • Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
  • Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you.
