General Summary 

This is a great opportunity to leverage your insurance or risk management experience in the real estate development or construction market which directly impacts the business. The Insurance Compliance Associate will assist the procurement team with certificate of insurance and risk transfer for organizational vendors. 

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Certificate of Insurance (“COI”) process for Management Vendors. This includes but is not limited to reviewing and approving COIs/endorsements, obtaining renewal COIs and maintaining the COI storage database. 
• Act as a liaison between outside risk consultants, internal stakeholders and Procurement with regards to insurance issues. 
• Communicate with vendors on an ongoing basis in regards to risk transfer and insurance guidelines 
• Ensure the Procurement insurance/risk transfer policy and procedures are adhered to as it relates to vendor contracts.
• Collaborate with Procurement team members on ad-hoc projects as requested 
• Participate in periodic process and procedure trainings with internal stakeholders 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Procurement, Insurance, Real Estate or Risk Management related field 
• 6-8 years of experience in insurance or risk management 

Skills

• Advanced MS PowerPoint, Word, and particularly Excel 
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills 
• Must have the ability to work well within a team and also have the ability to work independently
