LE002 Montrose Services, LLC is Hiring a Senior Project Manager Near Little Rock, AR

This position’s primary purpose is to facilitate the values customers expect from CTEH’s Toxicology, Emergency Response Program (TERP). The successful candidate is tasked with providing leadership to TERP management and TERP personnel to ensure a quality product and expert service in the hazardous materials response industry. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of competent and trained staff to support CTEH’s clients for emergency response operations, to include, but not limited to TERP, Environmental Response and RM Programs within the Emergency Response Division. The successful candidate will have a proven history of successful leadership in TERP response and TERP project management. The TERP Senior Project Manager will continue to serve as a Project Manager and lead a TERP team on emergency responses. Additionally, the successful candidate may attend conferences, client training exercises, and/or lead as a field consultant. The TERP Senior Project Manager will be on call for emergency response and frequent, extended travel; to maintain our response readiness and provide rest to TERP Project Management. Job Type: Full Time Location: North Little Rock, AR or Kemah, TX Salary Range: $73,400-$99,700 (commensurate with experience) ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE Supervises and manages direct reports involved in TERP at CTEH location(s) designated by the TERP Director and will also engage in face-2-face meetings with Direct reports, as well as leadership and staff within other CTEH Departments to provide more cohesiveness and a response ready culture at the/those designated location(s) throughout the year. Will report to the TERP Director and assist with carrying out CTEH’s mission of readiness and excellence. Will meet regularly with CTEH Equipment Managers and assess response readiness. Evaluates performance of direct reports for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and TERP. Will conduct TERP Environmental Scientist promotional interviews, maintain awareness of staff training, and knowledgeability. Responsible for the personal and professional development of direct reports to help promote both the growth of the employee and the objectives of the company. Provides technical consulting to clients on projects related to his/her expertise. Engages in day-to-day TERP operations to ensure that the company is consistently providing a premium service and product to its clients. Participates in business development activities in order to expand the company’s presence and involvement in areas involving health and safety as well as overall company growth. Oversees administrative functions of assigned TERP Project Managers, including the establishment employee goals, assists in the development of department, goals, objectives and establishment of policies and procedures that support successful best practices. Assists with communication between Operations Support Management and TERP to manage the workflow of emergency response projects. Will assist in the implementation of training in necessary tools to achieve business goals and improve processes to support the goals and objectives of the company. Participates in effective cross-functional team communication and interaction within the ER Division and other CTEH lines of business. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and importance for action, problem resolution, open communication, and overall responsiveness. Supports TERP project management with report peer review and assist with final deliverable execution and timeliness. Delegate tasks across the TERP department in light of project manager workload and span of control. Performs as a consultant on TERP Projects and may also act as a TERP Project Manager, when deemed necessary. Manages and maintains the On-Call schedule for CTEH’s primary offices. Serves in “On-Call” role to maintain response readiness of the team, as well as responding on the initial response with the “on-call” team for high-haz, high profile, complex incidents or as deemed needed by the TERP Director and/or VP, Emergency Response; SVP, CTEH. Supports at all levels of the ER Department to include but not limited to, TERP, Environmental Response and RM Programs to ensure all levels of Emergency Response are staffed, trained and response ready. Will assist in the recruitment, training and readiness of TERP staff. Perform other duties as assigned OTHER DESIRED COMPETENCIES Proven skilled professional in areas including, but not limited to, leadership and management, communication, organization, proactive ability, negotiation, and ability to be a team player Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a matrix reporting structure Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology or other related science and seven years of experience in a related field; or, Master’s degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology or other related science with five years of experience in a related field is preferred Advanced computer skills in a Windows-based platform is a must Significant project management experience, preferably in emergency response CERTIFICATION/OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES CTEH’s Carbon Software HAZWOPER certification (required) DISA clearance (required) TWIC clearance (required) Current driver’s license (required) Ability to obtain Passport (required) CIH (preferred) CSP (preferred) CHMM (preferred) OSHT (preferred) Asbestos license (preferred) PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
