Lawelawe is Hiring an Applications Programmer III - Secret Clearance Required Near Bethesda, MD

The Applications Programmer - Level III, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in .Net Framework and .Net Core to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot web applications. Involves collaborating with internal and external clients and teams, translating requirements into technical deliverables, and ensuring the security, scalability, and performance of applications. Work closely with development tools and technologies, such as C#/VB.Net, IIS, SQL Server, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in .Net Framework and .Net Core.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of C#/VB.Net programming languages.
  • Implement Client-Side/Server-Side validations and adhere to Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
  • Work with web application architecture and fundamentals.
  • Engage directly with clients and teams to discover, manage, and implement project requirements.
  • Translate requirements into high-quality technical deliverables, including documentation and deployed web applications.
  • Apply knowledge of design patterns and layered architecture.
  • Expertly handle deployments and hosting of applications using Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Implement IIS Security and migrate web applications from .Net Framework to .Net Core.
  • Employ front-end data access methods such as ADO.Net and Entity Framework.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Implement application security methods and database normalization.
  • Develop T-SQL queries for CRUD operations and identify and address application vulnerability/security issues.
  • Configure and tune applications to remediate performance issues.
  • Build maintainable and sustainable solutions aligned with client and user requirements.
  • Exhibit strong documentation, verbal communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with progressive web applications or responsive design.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and therapeutic work environment.
  • Maintain access to the DMHRSi program and complete bi-weekly workload documentation.
  • Complete required training courses on or before specified due dates.
  • Respond to issues or requests via the ticketing system within 5 working days.
  • Provide daily status reports with detailed descriptions of work completed.
  • Address critical bugs within 2 hours of notification, or communicate the issue and estimated resolution time.
  • Be on-call during specific times outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the schedule.

Specific Duties and Tasks:

  • Develop full-stack web applications using .NET and .NET Core frameworks.
  • Build reusable code and libraries.
  • Design application architecture for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Test and debug applications to ensure compliance with client requirements and specifications.
  • Document code for ease of understanding by other developers.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team and work independently as needed.
  • Stay updated on technology trends and programming languages.
  • Provide technical support to resolve application issues.
  • Ensure applications meet industry and Department of Defense standards for data privacy and security.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in application programming.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • Expertise in .Net Framework and .Net Core.
  • Proficiency in C#/VB.Net programming languages.
  • Knowledge of web application architecture and design patterns.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Active secret security clearance required
