Reports To: Supervisor of Transportation
Department: Rolling Hills Transit
SUMMARY:
This position is identified as a safety-sensitive position. The position is responsible for the transportation of the following using a company vehicle.
1. Students to and from school
2. Clients to and from summer camps
3. Passengers to and from predetermined locations
Ensure adherence to safety rules. The van driver may assist students and clients in boarding or exiting the van.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
SKILLS
Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure the van is working properly.
Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
Behavior Management -The ability to manage behavior on the van to ensure safety at all times.
EDUCATION
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Some clientele may at times be verbally abusive or disrespectful.
