SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Transportation Driver provides transportation and assistance to residents during scheduled trips in a safe and pleasant manner. They are responsible for keeping vehicles clean and reporting vehicle problems to the Transportation Coordinator.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Valid Ohio Driver License with a clean driving record
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Obtain maps and directions for destination
Inspect vehicles, monitor all fluid levels, to insure safety and comfort
Arrive at appointed pick-up place on time
Help Residents into and out of vehicles as needed
Provide safe and comfortable trip to destination
Stay with Resident and assist as needed
Fill out billing slips at the end of the trip.
Report all vehicle maintenance and cleaning needs to Transportation Coordinator
Fuel vehicles as needed
Clean vehicles on an ongoing basis
Take vehicles in for repairs as assigned by Transportation Coordinator
Perform minor maintenance as assigned by Transportation Coordinator
Perform office duties as assigned by Transportation Coordinator
Attend in-services and department meetings
Maintain a flexible schedule, inform Transportation Coordinator of changes in availability
