Direct Community Investments Program Associate – Washington, DC

The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) is a non-profit community development organization founded in 1991. LEDC’s mission is to serve as a catalyst that drives the economic and social advancement of low-to-moderate-income Latinos and other underserved communities by equipping them with the skills and tools to achieve financial independence, acquire personal and business assets, and create generational wealth. We achieve our mission through small business development and financing, homeownership counseling, tenant services, and affordable housing preservation.

We are currently looking for a Direct Community Investments Program Associate at our DC location! This position is part of our Direct Community Investments (DCI) team and reports to one of our DCI Program Managers. The Direct Community Investments team was created in the wake of COVID-19 to accelerate the grant deployment process for both public and private funders interested in providing direct financial assistance to communities affected by the pandemic. This position supports the team by following pre-established guidelines to collect, process, and analyze required documentation and information required for grant distribution and reporting.

While thorough, the position summary below is not all-encompassing of day-to-day activities.

Position Summary

· Create and maintain client files that are organized.

· Provide our clients with top-notch customer service and technical assistance via various channels, including phone, chat, and email.

· Enter accurate data into LEDC’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

· Analyze client documents and information to verify compliance with program requirements, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete.

· Collaborate closely with the Direct Community Investment Program Manager in:

o preparing and submitting required reports.

o supporting the disbursement process, ensuring that funds are distributed accurately and efficiently.

· Other tasks as assigned.

Location & Schedule

This position reports to our DC office, located at: 1401 Columbia Rd NW, Unit C-1, Washington, DC 20009.

This is a full-time, exempt role which typically requires 40 hours per week. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree & 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

· Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Ability to analyze documents for compliance and accuracy.

· Adaptability and flexibility to incorporate updated processes or information.

· Excellent time management skills.

· Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently when necessary.

· Collaborative mindset and a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities.

· Good interpersonal and social skills are needed to interact with customers or prospective clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $52,564 - $61,008 annually, dependent on experience and team budget.
