Landaff Blue School/SAU 35 is Hiring a Part-time Speech Pathologist Near Landaff, NH

Landaff School is looking for a part-time Speech Pathologist for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will be 2 days a week for 2 hours and 30 minutes.This position is to provide prevention, assessment and develop remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice and fluency. These services are designed to help students meet their educational goals.Position Duties and Responsibilities Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position:Oversees a program that addresses local school speech-language goals.Coordinates speech-language services with student services provided by other school personnel.Provides consultation to parents, teacher, SLA’s and other appropriate school personnel.Maintains records of the speech-language program and prepares periodic reports as required.Adheres to local, state and federal regulations, laws and appropriate ethical standards.Conducts speech and language screenings.Administers formal and informal assessments.Develops appropriate IEP’s based on students’ strengths and needs.Obtains additional diagnostic information from appropriate persons and available records for speech-language purposes.Analyzes and interprets information to make recommendations regarding the need for speech-language services.Provides appropriate information on an informal or formal basis regarding speech, language and hearing programsManages the materials and equipment, including assistive technology, necessary to the delivery of services.Adjusts intervention strategies based upon student performanceCollaborates/consults with classroom teacher in the management of speech-language disordersProvide assistance and supervision to Speech Language Assistants.Engages in continuing education and professional growth activities related to speech, language, hearing and education.Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesInterest in and experience with childrenStrong interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated skill in oral and written communicationsKnowledge of computer hardware and software including word, excel & NHEISAbility to work as a member of a team, or individually, sometimes under adverse or stressful conditions.Ability to work collaborative with othersAbility to work independently and problem solveAbility to build effective working relationships with students and staff.Is flexible
