Position: Recycling Office Specialist
Job Summary: Responsible for all duties associated with the Recycling Center cashier’s office and the day to
day administrative needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process Recycling Center phone calls; answer questions or direct calls as needed
• Daily Operation of Buyback Office:
o Pick up draws and deliver deposit to the bank at the end of the day
o Open and close buyback office
o Process buyback customer transactions
o Balance register at the end of day and prepare deposits
o Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Buyback Office area
- Material Movement and Marketing
o Market of materials for sale with final approval by Director
o Update material quantities and provide information for reporting
o Schedule shipments and prepare bills of ladings
o Prepare routes and paperwork for the following day and place in drivers’ box
o Update and maintain routes as directed by the Operations Manager
- Maintain commercial customer accounts, current and new
o Update commercial and institutional customer list and contact information
o Assist customers with signing up for commercial services
o Create invoices for shred customers and provide to Fiscal
o Track payments on accounts receivable for shredding, commercial customers and shipments
- Support Reporting for Recycling Center
o Update shred volumes for reports
o Type Recycling Center employee timesheets and CFLP logs
o Filing OSHA and DOT paperwork as needed
o Keep and file vehicle and equipment inspection forms
o Distribute and monitor gas cards and keys to workers
- Prepare and monitor driver and material handler times
o Including timesheets and in and out sheets
o Update and monitor CFLP logs
- Consistent weekly schedule with rare afterhours or Saturday work
- Occasional overtime as needed
- Other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and Director
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and have a good driving record
• Must be able to operate a computer and be proficient in Word and Excel software
• Must be able to calculate payouts
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Good organizational and written skills
Starting Pay Rate $17.48 per hour
