Lakeside School, an independent coeducational day school located in North Seattle, is currently recruiting for an Office Assistant for the Summer School Programs for summer 2022. This is a part-time position. The Office Assistant works from June 14 – August 1, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Director of Summer School Programs and is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in providing administrative support for the six-week Summer School program.

  • Assist Summer School Operations Manager in preparing orientation materials for Summer School Upper School and Investigative Learning Camp faculty orientations.
  • Assist with office and classroom preparation at the beginning of the summer and with pack-up at the end of Summer School Programs.
  • Assist Operations Manager with teacher supply requests.
  • Distribute and collect attendance for Upper School classes.
  • Supervise laptop check-out and check-in process.
  • Manage Summer School Programs social media accounts.
  • Assist Summer School Operations Manger with fielding parent, teacher, and student inquiries when they enter the Summer School office.
  • Assist with implementing COVID protocols (checking Trace app on phones, supervising COVID testing, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Summer School Operations Manager or Director of Summer School Programs.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of Lakeside’s academic program and standards of excellence
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Facebook; ability learn new software systems
  • First Aid and CPR certification obtained before July 5
  • Candidates must satisfactorily complete two criminal background checks.

Compensation and Benefits:
The stipend for this position is $3,800.

COVID Protocols:
All faculty and staff must be fully vaccinated, including a third dose (or booster shot), prior to their first day on campus. They must also submit a negative COVID test prior to the start of the class or program. Tests will be provided by Lakeside School the Friday before the class or program begins for all students, faculty, and staff. Additional COVID tests may be administered periodically throughout the program as needed. In addition to the negative testing requirement, faculty and staff must follow all Lakeside health and safety precautions, which include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Contact tracing
  • Wearing a face mask while on campus
  • Practicing physical distancing
  • Practicing excellent hygiene
  • Avoiding travel and limiting social interactions outside of school
