At Lakeshore Day Camps the Camp Counselor’s main role is to help campers have a fun and safe day at camp! Camp Counselors spend the summer working with kids of different ages, engaging in a range of fun activities, events and field trips! A summer to remember for campers and counselors alike! This is an ideal job for anyone new to the work force and interested in working with kids. - Must have experience working with kids of all ages and be 15 years old.
- Exceptional organizational, planning skills and are detail oriented.

- Ability to perform job duties with limited supervision/direction after training has been completed.
- Must produce a high quality of product/work and remain focused in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
- First Aid and CPR/AED certification (Child, Infant and Adult)
- Swimming daily.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Walk up and down 4 flights of stairs at a time.
- Spend up to 4 hours outside in direct sunlight.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Be punctual and arrive to work on time, as scheduled
- Possess and exhibit a good work ethic under stress
- Meet with Camp Director for weekly 1 on 1 meetings
- Always help to maintain a safe environment while allowing for a fun atmosphere.
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment to Camp Director
- Be a problem solver. Identify issues, compile possible solutions, using good judgment decide and solve the problem.
- Communicate all billing concerns, inquires, disputes with Camp Director to make sure she has all the information necessary before speaking to the member/guest
- Be active participant with the kids!
