Position Summary
Summary:
Programmer Analyst II use analytic and programming skills to design and support systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with overall design of the organizations information systems architecture. Under direct supervision, will assist in obtaining information and formulate the business requirements, scope, and objectives for system changes. The Programmer Analyst will support the development and life cycles of such areas as clinical and revenue cycle reporting, data extractions, application modifications, and system rules. Ability to interpret vendor specs and design possible solutions for less complex systems. Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system. Ability to coordinate small projects and work directly with vendors.

  • Actively participates in team development, employee engagement and accomplishing department goals and objectives
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all systems, technology, and tools necessary to complete duties and understanding of interfaced systems and programming tools
  • Is able to formulate and implement integration solutions based on gathering requirements, interpreting business requirements, and following IT methodologies, processes and standards
  • Proactively facilitates communication and activities with areas of responsibility, within the department and with solution vendors. Creates relationships built on trust and results with customers
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills through the ability resolve issues, design solutions, and develop test plans for reporting solutions. This will be done in collaboration with Analysts and other resources responsible for the systems being interfaced
  • Provides technical leadership on small to medium efforts within the area of scope with supervision
  • Maintains specifications, requirements, designs, data flows, test scripts and support plans of existing reports
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to identify system issues/risks and proactively identifies and facilitates early interventions

  • Information Systems, Computer Science or related field

  • Prior experience with systems analysis, troubleshooting, and working in a team environment to implement Information Technology systems.
