Position Summary
Summary :
Works as a member of the unit committed to a common purpose and goals in monitoring each patient with cardiac telemetry and reporting and charting cardiac rhythms and rates.
Functions include department specific duties to meet patient safety outcomes in timely reporting of changes and lethal rhythms.
Contributes to positive outcomes and meeting goals of providing exceptional healthcare by exhibiting professional behavior and experience in cardiac rhythm identification, calibration, reporting and recording in Cerner.
Must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer and employee satisfaction.

Experience Essential :
Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time, show attention to detail, and communicate clearly and effectively with all staff.
Must be able to sit in same place for long periods time. Flexibility desired to meet unexpected staffing shortages. Completion of ECG course and telemetry orientation.
Initial and annual completion of cardiac monitoring test with minimum score of 85%.
