Job Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock levels, and assisting in the efficient flow of goods within the organization. This role involves overseeing inventory operations, coordinating with various departments, and contributing to the overall optimization of inventory management processes.
What you will be doing:
  • Responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory records, implementing inventory control procedures, and optimizing stock levels to ensure smooth inventory operations.
  • Generate and provide timely and accurate inventory reports as requested by various departments, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate the procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies as well as shop-related materials, ensuring timely availability and supporting operational needs.
  • Establishes inventory control procedures to accurately track and monitor inventory levels, including regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Hold Hilo certification and operate a forklift (Hilo) as required for various tasks and responsibilities.
  • Monitors and analyzes inventory data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and potential issues, and takes proactive measures to address them.
  • Ensures compliance with inventory-related policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizes inventory management software and tools to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
  • Participates in cross-functional meetings to provide insights and updates on inventory status and related activities.
  • Assists in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handles inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding inventory status, availability, and related matters.
  • Manages relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in inventory or related fields is a plus.
  • Forklift experience preferred. Willing to train.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
