Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. If you are passionate about dentistry and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred and is required
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic is a plus
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques, medical records, medical terminology, infection control, HIPAA regulations, and CAD/CAM technology is beneficial
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- X-ray certification in accordance with state regulations (if applicable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
