Role of the Substitute School NurseSupports the physical, mental, emotional and social health of students and their success in the learning process. This position supports student success by providing health care assessments, identifying problems, planning, interventions, follow-ups and evaluations for all students within the school setting.
Qualifications: RN Licensure and CPR Certified or LPN Licensure and CPR Certified
Duties and Responsibilities:Uphold the nurses code of ethics while practicing nursing in the school setting
Provide first-aid and emergency care to the school community
Provide health related assessments and monitoring
Assist with management of care for students with special health care needs/risk
Administer medications according to school policy to students who need medications during school hours
Document electronically in student records all health room visits
Assist in maintaining a safe school environment.
This is an as needed position.
Additional training will be given upon hire.
Compensation range :$120-$140 per day
