About the Role
As a Data Scientist at Labviva, you will join a team of engineers and data professionals to develop unified purchasing and supply chain solutions for our pharmaceutical, biotech, and higher education customers. This position reports to the Vice President, Analytics and Data Science. The position is a key hire to strengthen our advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities. How You Will Contribute
Collaborate with products, engineering and business stakeholders to design models for business use cases including data collection, classification, product taxonomy, product recommendation, marketing funnel optimization and supply chain management.
Develop statistical and ML models from prototypes to full production while applying best practices. You will own model development and have support from our own full-stack engineering team as well as other teams in the engineering organization.
Define and track metrics for performance measurement.
Generate insights and translate complex concepts and analyses into accessible format for technical and non-technical audiences.
What You Bring to the Team
3 years of ML modeling experience combined with a solid understanding of the theoretical foundations of AI/ML
Graduate degree in statistics, applied mathematics or a related field
Expertise in several of the areas: classification/decision tree, clustering, anomaly detection, recommenders, Bayesian statistics, optimization, forecasting
Working knowledge of life science lab operations is highly desirable
Proficiency in Python, R and SQL
Experience in AWS, Snowflake and SageMaker is helpful
Ability to turn concepts into solutions; and to interpret analytical findings to audiences of all levels
Strong intellectual curiosity and self-motivation
